Grain is available as a desktop app for macOS and Windows, from the browser, and as an iPhone app in beta.
Desktop Clients
Grain’s desktop app is available for Mac Apple Silicon & Windows computers.
Visit grain.com/download and download the installer for your OS.
Run the installer and follow the prompts.
Open Grain from your Applications folder (macOS) or Start menu (Windows).
Browser
Grain is also accessible from any browser at grain.com. Log in with your account to access your recordings, AI notes, and workspace without installing anything.
Note: Desktop capture requires the desktop app and is not available in the browser.
iPhone app (beta)
Grain's iPhone app is in beta. Use it to record in-person meetings and phone conversations from your phone.
It isn't in the App Store yet: to join the beta, send us a message in the Grain chat or email help@grain.com and we'll add you.
Permissions
Grain will request access to your microphone and screen recording. Both are required for Desktop Capture to work.
Grant both permissions when prompted, or enable them later under your system's privacy settings.
