Grain lets you improve your meeting experience by changing the transcript language to match the meeting language. Follow these steps to update it for one meeting or all future meetings.
Set your default transcript language
To set or change your default transcript language for all meetings, visit your workspace settings and scroll to 'Meeting language default' to adjust your preferences. You can also add multiple preferred languages so Grain automatically detects and applies the right one during your meetings.
Change the transcript language for a specific meeting recording
You can override your default transcription language for a specific meeting recording. This is helpful when your meeting was in a different language than your default setting. To do this, simply:
Access your meeting recording page: Open the meeting recording in Grain for which you want to change the transcript language
Locate transcript settings: Within the meeting recording page, click the three dot menu on the top right corner to open the 'More Options' menu.
Select New Language: Choose 'Change transcript language' from the menu. A list of languages will appear for you to select from.
Note:
Be mindful that you can only change the transcript language once per meeting through this method. If you need to change it again, you will need to contact support for assistance.
You can only change the transcript language to match the language spoken in your meeting — Grain currently does not support translation.
Changing the transcript language isn’t currently available for transcripts generated from desktop capture.
