Updated over 2 weeks ago

Encountering issues with failed uploads can be frustrating. Here are some practical steps to help you troubleshoot and resolve common problems related to uploading meetings in Grain.

  1. Check Your Internet Connection: A stable and high-speed internet connection is crucial for uploading large files like video meetings. If your connection is unstable or slow, try connecting to a more reliable network.

  2. Verify File Format and Size: Ensure that the file you are trying to upload meets Grain's format (.mov, .mp4, .mp3, .wav, .m4a) and size requirements (max 2 hrs). Unsupported formats or excessively large files can cause uploads to fail.

    1. You can also try using external tools such as Handbrake to reduce the file size and convert files to correct formats: https://handbrake.fr/

  3. Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, clearing your browser cache can resolve issues that affect the performance of web applications, including Grain.

  4. Update Your Browser: An outdated browser may lead to compatibility issues with modern web applications. Ensure your browser is up to date for an optimal experience.

πŸ“Œ Note on Starter Plan Upload Limits

It's important to point out that failed uploads can also be as a result of you reaching the upload limit on the Starter plan.

Starter plan users are limited to a monthly limit of 10 uploads, which means that they can only upload 10 recordings per month. Deleting existing records does not reset this limit.

Free Plan users are not allowed to upload recordings.

If you'd like to continue uploading additional recordings, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan.
