Workspace members

Manage users in your Grain workspace, including the meetings and settings they have access to.

The Members page shows every user in your workspace with their role (admin or member), the team they belong to, teams they are subscribed to, seat type (paid or free), and status.

Below are the settings you have access to on the members page:

Invite members

Click ’+ Invite members’ in the top right, enter email addresses for all users you want to invite to your workspace, specify which seat type (paid or free) and what team they should belong to upon joining the workspace, then click send invites. Invited users receive an email with a link to join the workspace. This invite button is also anchored to the bottom left of every page on Grain.

Alternatively, use the ‘Paid seat invite link’ to have users the join via link.

Workspace Role

  • Admin: full access to workspace settings, billing, member management, and integrations

  • Member: standard access; cannot change workspace settings or manage other members

To change a member's role, click the drop-down menu in the ‘Workspace Role’ column next to their name and select the role you want to assign.

Team assignments

You can change what Team a member belongs to and change what teams a member is subscribed to from the ‘Members’ page. See Teams for more information.

Seat types

You can change what seat type users are assigned to:

  • Paid: full access to recording and all plan features

  • Free viewer: cannot record, but can view and use all other plan features

To upgrade or downgrade a member's seat type, use the drop-down menu in the ‘Seat’ column next to their name.

Deactivate a member

Click the drop-down menu next to a member's name in the ‘Status’ column and select ‘Deactivate.’ Deactivated users can no longer sign into Grain. You will be prompted to transfer their recordings to another active user before confirming.
