Grain is available as a desktop app for macOS and Windows and from the browser.

Grain’s desktop app is available for Mac Apple Silicon &amp; Windows computers.

Visit <a href="https://grain.com/download" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">grain.com/download</a> and download the installer for your OS.

Run the installer and follow the prompts.

Open Grain from your Applications folder (macOS) or Start menu (Windows).

3. Open Grain from your Applications folder (macOS) or Start menu (Windows).

Grain is also accessible from any browser at <a href="https://grain.com/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">grain.com</a>. Log in with your account to access your recordings, AI notes, and workspace without installing anything.

Note: <a href="https://support.grain.com/en/articles/12022918-ai-notes-for-every-meeting-with-desktop-capture">Desktop capture</a> requires the desktop app and is not available in the browser.

On first launch, Grain will request access to your microphone and screen recording. Both are required for Desktop Capture to work.

Grant both permissions when prompted, or enable them later under your system's privacy settings.

Keep your app current with the latest features and improvements:

Access the menu: click ‘Grain’ in the menu bar at the top of your screen (Mac) or system tray (Windows)

Check for updates: select ‘Check for updates’ from the dropdown menu

Install if available: follow the prompts if an update is found
