Learn more about sharing notes with teammates and automatically sending notes with Slack and Email!

Updated this week

Step 1: Now that we've finished recording our meeting, lets talk about sharing the notes with your team afterwards!

  • First, lets navigate to our settings page to configure our post meeting email settings!

  1. Under 'Meeting Recap Emails' lets select the type of participants that we want to receive our emails!

  • We have a few options to select from the dropdown

    • Only send to Workspace participants

      • This will only send emails to participants in the meeting that are apart of your workspace.

    • Only send to internal participants

      • This will only send to participants on the meeting inside of your organization.

    • Only send to external participants

      • This will only send to participants outside of your organization

    • Send recap to all participants

      • This will send an email to every person in the meeting.

    • Do not send recap emails

      • This option will not send any emails after the meeting concludes.

Now lets learn about other ways to automate sharing notes in Grain!

Automate Sharing Notes with Slack!

To begin, lets navigate to our 'Slack Integration' settings page!

  • Once connected your settings page will look like the one above.

Under 'Slack Automation' we can create if statements and automate when and what meetings get automatically shared in Slack!

  • To create a new automation begin by pressing the '+ New Automation' button

  • Now you can apply filters before meetings are sent. For example:

    • Filter meetings by ownership

      • I.E. only send meetings to slack if owned by X person.

    • Participants

      • only send meetings to slack if XYZ participants are present.

    • Tags

      • only send meetings with particular tags to Slack.

    • Companies

      • Only send meetings with certain company domains.

  • To Channel or Direct Message

    • This routes the meeting and tells it where to send the meeting inside of Slack.

  • You can also disconnect this integration at anytime by selecting the 3 dots next to the workspace name in the integration's settings page.

It is important to note that you can create as many of these automations as you prefer. We recommend every user in the workspace to configure this to their liking!
